as i mentioned, i'm not one to wear delicate rings. i just don't have the hands that suit them, plus i just gravitate to those that have a bit more going for them, not in design or detail in particular, just in general "heft".
the carrotbox, which stocks the most colourful and bright rings that i've seen in a long time is a site that i've been lurking around for months. the only thing to keep in mind is that there are no metal rings to be had. so, if you are allergic to metal or just prefer rings that are made of plastic, lucite, glass, jade, agate or beads, the carrot box cannot be beat; the propiertor of the site has even begun making her own rings, and as you can see from her own catalogue, she is quite talented as well.
my favourites so far are this bright green resin ring from an australian company called dinosaur designs and also this chunky faceted black jade number.
if you're looking for a ring a little left of center or something to add a little colour to your hands or wardrobe, the carrotbox is most definitely a place to check out.
