with every passing season, i become a bigger fan of yigal azrouel's aesthetic. it isn't forced, it doesn't seem to be subscribing to what is 'NEW, HOT & NOW', but it plays itself out like a complete 'look'. these women on the runway looked as if they woke up and got dressed, yet didn't put too much thought in to what they were wearing.
this, of course, is called having 'style' - and this is exactly what i enjoy about yigal - he doesn't seem to be force feeding us a notion of what is trendy and hip - but, giving us a sense of how easy it is to be dressed and stylish and au courant without trying too hard. does that make sense?
to not put too fine a point on it:
i am a fan. more and more, every season.
